Ich bin dabei. In der Georg-Schumann-Straße 294. Mit einer kleinen Auswahl meiner Bilder. Darunter Marie in Lebensgröße.
Dirk Rohra is a German photographer who has since 2019 specialized in the genres of portrait and nude photography. His ability to capture human emotions is evident in his visual excellence, storytelling, and conceptual thinking. Rohra's works are characterized by profound thematic depth and a solid understanding of human nature.
Rohra prefers a calm representation to highlight the personality and character of his subjects. He uses black and white photography to focus on the essentials and emotionally engage the viewer. In doing so, he captures atmospheres, moods, and emotions, and visually conveys them. Rohra values authenticity and subtle gestures, looks, or movements to convey his messages.
Rohra supports his exclusively digital photography through the technical aspect of his work. Minimally edited, he creates an analogue appearance in his images and experiments with blurred, grainy, and intentionally provoked uncertainties. These techniques give his photographs a special attraction.
An important aspect of Rohra's work is his curious and empathetic openness towards the human being in front of the camera. He relies on his intuition and lets go of rigid ideas to create striking images. He places great value on the uniqueness of his models and tries to capture their personality and individuality.
